php - Why is this Zend framework killing my CPU usage and loading pages so slow -


the framework using called socialengine.net v4, , it's written in zend, it's insanely super cpu intensive. socialengine in php , uses mysql.

i need know os, hardware suggest (dual xeons, amd, how ram, etc...) , how optimize handle large amounts of traffic.

i have 11k users right now, , it's running incredibly slow, i'm talking 7 second page load times.

the framework have memcached, , apc options caching installed, apc or memcache on, doesn't make big enough difference...

i need know best way attack far optimizing mysql, inoodb tweaks, apache tweaks, performance tweaks, type of hardware, , amount of ram.

i have big marketing plan in place, , start increasing traffic 1,000+ signups per day... traffic start rise progressively. when marketed, did 50k uniques in 6 hours, 20k signups, , 500k pageviews... (server crashed, lost half users... , haven't marketed since, because been trying rebuild)
