ios - iPhone App design question, how to show detail view correctly -


i've been wrestling while. need show additional information current view (which detail view itself).

here's images show mean (it's not app, similar design).

the first view top level navigation view. when user drills down, end second view (detail view). on tab bar there're additional info detail (benelli gun).

the problem not know clean way implement tabbar controller/tabbar inside original top level tabbar. pushing tabbarcontroller inside tabbar controller messy , haven't been able work cleanly.

so while second "detail tabbar" nice, i'm exploring other ways.

i tried putting in custom table detail views doesn't natural under description (stats).

looking design suggestions, thanks.

i use segmented controller display options detail view. can put @ bottom of view in place of uitabbar if use hidesbottombarwhenpushed property of detail view controller hide tab bar.
