hyperlink - Drupal: Primary link item to a relative file on the server -


i want create link in primary links menu link file on server, not drupal node. if try set path files/whatever.pdf or ./files/whatever.pdf or variation thereof, drupal says: the path 'files/whatever.pdf' either invalid or not have access it.

i know can link absolute url http://mydomain.com/files/whatever.pdf seems silly use absolute link should local file can link relatively.

is there way want?

you use webfilemanager , uploading file webfm. access file using /webfm_send/10 10 number of file within webfm.
