Android: My 48x48 Launcher Icon looks smaller when compared to others -


i have designed launcher icon 48x48 pixels , placed in res/drawable folder. when install application, icon in application menu seems smaller , wrapped in box default. did wrong? appreciated.

48x48 should mdpi screen. device displaying on? also, saved transparent png or jpeg?
