what parsing means web development. things parsing html, parsing style sheets etc used. web development languages use parse methods. essence parsing means here.

generally speaking, parsing means inspecting text string, character character, , performing actions based on meaning inherent in characters.

a web browser parses html translate blocks of content on page. parses style sheets apply/adjust styles of blocks.
