my app downloads audio file, but it doesn't show up in Android Music app -


i have app downloads podcast , saves sdcard. of works correctly, , can see , play audio file when use file manager astro, doesn't show in android music app (i'm testing on droid x , original droid). if reboot phone, or connect sdcard pc (usb mass storage) , disconnect, music app finds newly added audio files.

i know when download pictures sdcard, need use mediascannerconnection add them android gallery app. there need add mp3's music app???

have tried using mediascannerconnection on music files?

it should same process - use mediascannerconnection scan music files / directory files being downloaded. mediascannerconnection should @ both music , images , add them appropriate app (gallery/music library)
