Why does my installer (MSI) fail when a new user is specified to be created and it attempts to reference that user in a SQL script during install? -


i have installer created using installshield (basic msi) allows user create new user account in windows. user account used installer in sql script executed the installer.

i'm experiencing problem sql script fails because login doesn't exist yet i'm asking when created installer? can move iisqlserverinstall (the ca executes sql scripts) later point in time executes after user created? other ideas?

from knowledge cannot use user account in same installation process creates it.

this because installer actions information in immediate phase, when installation script created. in phase user account doesn't exist because hasn't been created yet.

a common solution use different package prerequisite main install. package can install user account need.
