development environment - Should I use Python for a small CRM ? If not, then is there any other platform? -


we have new client develop custom crm employees.

the main features are:

  1. ability save forms
  2. send reminders employees email , text messages
  3. basic charting capabilities
  4. automatic backup online

so see, saving data, , reminding employees important functions of crm.

now main question -- i've been meaning learn python since while. think crm should doable person learning python. have experience in php, jquery , little bit of .net

so here think should go ahead python platform project ? or should go other platform, might have features python won't provide me ?

i wouldn't re-invent wheel, if you. instead aim leverage 1 of existing open source crms build system. known open source crm sugarcrm. there more available, of them built php, php experience useful.
