Display Order column in SharePoint list that auto updates all items when one changed -


i have document library has set of douments in , i'd them ordered in library/view in user definable way. ideally i'd add displayorder or priority column , have set users. each number in column must unique , should update other items in list when user "inserts" document in middle of order or changes order in anyway.

the way can figure doing run workflow grunt work, hopeing there might easier way.

this on moss 2007.

other workflow, can have event handler too. don't think there no way force uniqueness in moss 2007 other custom code.
