file - Flex Accessing OS System Icons -


hi know can display icon of file has been associated file in native os.

i have tile list of folder's contents. images, display image, else display generic image. however, great if tap os , use icon os uses. example, if have installed microsoft word on computer, when view word document in file system display word icon microsoft created word documents. mp3's might itunes type sound icon, if have itunes installed , on.

basically, files in tile list want show same icon windows, or mac os etc.

in addition this, if os creates thumbnail file (images, videos , pdfs example) possible tap os generated thumb?

you can write os-dependent tools grab native icons (exe win, dmg mac, etc.) , package them application native installer.

after able call native tools air app.
