C# vs. Java for game development -
i've been programming in c++ of late, honest think need else use. c++ being quite low level requires more time make things. nice know popular language easier code in. if use c# i'd use xna well, i'm not quite sure java. know java more cross-platform c# , c# pretty in microsoft's pocket doesn't bother me. i'm gunning 2d ascii/sprite games opposed 3d, 3d indeed i'll move on to.
i want know stack-overflow community thinks.
xna easy use 2d games. not xna give content pipeline management within visual studio, makes managing entire build job quite easy, framework sets basic game loop , gives building blocks started. there plenty of getting started guides , growing pile of books on xna.
xna works free version of visual studio , xna runs on windows phone , xbox 360 (unfortunately deploying either of these platforms requires $100 year license ms).
i sure there libraries java well, can't give details.
