Cross-compile for linux on windows -


i've found little info cross-compiling linux binaries in windows, questions opposite situation.

has experience or pointers share?

i'd prefer mingw on cygwin, if can choose.

assume specific linux target available: have include headers , binaries.

i haven't done myself, have considered setting virtual machine, , compiling on that? use "network" share, both windows system , linux virtual system can see same directories. virtual machine solution, becomes easier target specific distributions , architectures.
